Best Buddies

While we were at the compound (that is what everyone was calling Grandy's house because people have been in and out all week) Reese found a new buddy, Morrie. Reese loves dogs or just any animal. Luckily my parents had Aggie because it would have been real interesting with two dogs here. We are getting ready to head home because our power is back on!!! Lets just hope that it stays on this time. We went home on Thursday thinking we were good to go, but we had only been home two hours and it went back off. We have enjoyed our time here, we decided that it was like being on vacation except not at the beach, but Alaska!!

Lets Dress Up!

I don't think I will ever pray for a snow day again! We are just thankful that we are here at Grandy's with power. On our way here we barely cleared two power lines and that was scary. Reese decided to play dress up since we are all couped up inside. I don't know what we are going to do when we run out of diapers! We kind of just left the house in a hurry. I don't think we will see school the rest of the week for sure.

Barack Obama becomes President today!

History was made today as Barack Obama became the first African American President of the United States. I really enjoyed spending the day watching the coverage of the inauguration and all the history that was re-told about past inauguration with my eighth grade US History classes. I am excited to see what he can truly do with our country. Reese has known Obama's name since he started campaigning, but it was too cute to not get on video.

WOW!

Well instead of going to watch Central play tonight I decided to stay home and watch the Cards and boy was that a good choice! As an article states, "No. 1 Pittsburgh's perfect run is over. Earl Clark had 16 points and 11 rebounds on his 21st birthday to lead No. 20 Louisville to a 69-63 victory over the Panthers on Saturday night." They are just so much fun to watch and they are now 4-0 in the Big East conference.

The Weekend

Ramsey is seven weeks old today! We had a good weekend. Friday night Central beat E-town and yesterday Louisville won by the hair of their chinny chin chin!! Reese also learned how to use scissors. She received them as a surprise from her daddy because she has been going to bed on her own in her bed at 8:30 all last week. In the picture, she is playing with her friend Maddie Kate. I am dreading the week ahead because I have to go back to work! In a way I am ready to get back into a routine, but on the otherhand I know it will be crazy. We are getting ready to go and eat pizza at Grandy's house that Aunt Annie had shipped from Chicago! We are all really excited about this great pizza! Yummy!

Ready to go to the Game!

We are ready to go to Matt's game tonight. They are playing Marion County. Reese wanted to wear her new Manning Jersey that her Aunt Annie got her for Christmas. Too bad they lost this weekend in overtime! We are cheering for the Titans now that the Colts have lost.

C-A-R-D-S Cards, Cards, Cards!!!

All the girls picked the right team!! Matt didn't want to take his picture with his blue shirt on with all the girls because he knew the Cats were going to lose. Wow, what a game though. We went to a friends house to watch the game and of course I was the only UofL fan and I got real nervous at the end when UofK came back to tie with under 20 seconds. Lets just say I wouldn't of wanted to be Earl Clark at that moment. But, Sosa pulled through for the Cards with a long three pointer. I guess that is the last UofL/UofK game in Freedom Hall and I am glad that they won! Go Cards!

Ramsey is 6 weeks old!

Wow, where does time go!! Ramsey is getting to be a big girl. She now weighs 9 pounds and is 22 inches long. She is even starting to be able to wear some 0-3 months stuff instead of newborn!! Not to mention her really long arms. Check out her shirt and wear it hits her on her arm! She is a strong little girl, she is really holding her head up good and she can stand on her legs when you hold her up. We took her to the nursery for the first time today at church, so sad!

Hair Cut time (Not Ramsey's)

Reese was blessed with pretty hair, but my it was SO long, so I decided to get it cut. She got cut three inches and it looks much better and still has the curls, thank goodness. Karen even fixed it like mine when she was done! Reese did such a good job of listening to Karen and being still! This is the only other time she has had it cut other than her first hair cut.
