Finger Painting

Reese and I have enjoyed painting this summer on the back porch. We have used watercolors and finger paint. I don't like the clean-up, but it is worth the fun that we have doing it. I hate to say it but the summer is about to come to a close. Ramsey enjoys the back porch in her exer-saucer. I will hate when she grows out of that!

Ramsey is 8 months old!

Ramsey has been doing and trying everything lately. She is pulling up and standing in her crib. She also has two bottom teeth now, waving at you, saying da-da and aggie (we think), and doing noisemakers with her fingers on her mouth. She is at a really cute age right now. I know it won't be too much before she is walking. She loves her babyfood and I haven't found one that she doesn't like. Smiley should be her nickname because that is all that she does is smile. We are already planning the big one year birthday party, it will be here before we know it!

Just a swinging!

Ramsey enjoyed her pink swing on the swing set. Her mouth was open the whole time or she was chewing on the strap. She also enjoys playing in the sand, she likes to just feel of it and of course put it in her mouth.

First Vacation Bible School

Last week Reese attended her first VBS at church and she had such a good time. Guess who her teachers were? Yep, that is right, us! That was an experience, let me tell you, with eight three year olds! On the last night they got to sing their songs and it was neat to see her on the stage, but as you can see she didn't get all the motions down. It was funny because she wanted to stand in front of the micrphone and sing into it. Watch the video and see what else she did the entire time! This morning on the way to church she asked if we were going to Bible School. I really think she had a great time with her friends singing, making crafts, eating snacks, playing and learning about God!

Milwuakee/Chicago trip

Taylor and I at Wrigley

Wrigley Field from our seats
From our seats, we were right behind the Dodger dugout

Manny Ramirez

Juan Pierre
Miller Park

Well mommmy had some time away from the kidos this weekend. I went to Milwuakee and Chicago with my parents and brother to see two MLB games. Dad got free tickets to the Brewers and Cubs. Two totally different stadiums, but two great baseball stadiums. We had a great trip and it was fun to hang out with mom and dad and Taylor. I ended up getting a signed baseball by Juan Pierre who plays for the Dodgers. I am definitely glad to be home to see the girls and Matt.

Wizard of Oz

Grandy got us tickets to see the Wizard of Oz and Reese loved the play. I really didn't know how she would do, but she actually watched and comprehended what was going on. She liked going with her cousins, Gerhig and Olivia. She quite wasn't ready to go and see the cast members after the play though. I hope she gets over that soon.

Picnic

Reese decided that she was going to have a picnic in the kitchen floor while I was cooking dinner. I will be glad when Ramsey gets a little bit older so they can play more together.

Aggie Dress Up

Tonight we decided to have toy clean up, so in that process we found an Easter dress that our babysitter gave us for Aggie. She has always been a good sport as far as the dressing up, but today she had had enough after awhile, as you can see. I use to dress her up for Halloween and she wore sweaters a lot. In fact, we told my mom and dad that we were pregnant with Reese by writing on a t-shirt for Aggie that said, "I am going to be a big sister." Aggie has lucked out the past couple of years because I have had kids to dress in costumes, so Aggie has been let off the hook. Sorry Aggie, it was worth the laughs!

New Swing Set

Reese for her birthday got a swing set and thanks to Gran and Grampy, Grandy and Papaw and Aunt Annie she was able to get a real fun one. And thanks to Uncle Pat that it is put together! She has enjoyed our new neighbors Riley and Reagan coming over and playing with her. It is so funny to listen to her play in the sand box. She is always baking a cake!

First tooth & crawling all in the same week!

Ramsey has been cruising the floors this week. Boy we really have to watch what we leave on the floor because Ramsey will pick it up and of course it goes straight to her mouth. She also got her first tooth and it is on the bottom. She doesn't like for you to see it, so I didn't get really good pictures of it.

Levi's Party!

Reese loves going to Levi's house because it is a petting zoo to her. She ventured over to the barn as soon as she played on the swing set for a little bit. She got to pet a turkey and a rabbit. She received a water soaker as a party favor and when she got squirted she was not real happy! Hopefully we can play with Levi again soon! Happy Birthday Levi!

Happy 4th of July!

We had an awesome day celebrating our country's birthday with family and friends. I started off the day by buying myslef a new camera!! It was long over due since the one I was using was 6 years old. We traveled to Louisville to eat with Matt's family and then we went to the Highbaugh's to watch fireworks with friends. Reese was scared of the fireworks and wanted to go inside, but I think she truly was just cold! I just couldn't get over the weather, I am not going to complain though. Reese was so cute when she would say it was the United States of a Mircle's birtday!!! We are looking forward to Levi's birthday party tomorrow!
