Happy Birthday Grampy!

Monday we celebrated my dad's birthday by having a cookout here at the house. The girls love their grampy! Afterwards, we all went to Taylor's first Region baseball game. They ended up beating Bardstown 21-0. Last night was the second round of the Region tournament and they beat Campbellsville 12-1. Tonight is the Region finals and we play E-town. GO BRUINS!!!!

Ramsey is 6 months old today!

Well I can't believe it but Ramsey has hit the half a year old mark. She is just really laughing, smiling and cooing outloud. This week she has started sitting up all on her own. It is so sweet to see her sit there and play with toys. I am excited to be going to Clarksville, TN so Shea can take the girls pictures for Ramsey's 6 months and Reese's 3 year pictures.

Holiday World

Reese and I had the opportunity to spend the day together at Holiday World! We had a beautiful day and a fun time riding rides. Reese thought she was big stuff getting to ride the big "twinkie" with the 8th graders from West Hardin. I just loved watching her ride rides and smile and laugh. She got to see Santa Claus by her surprise, and she still won't have anything to do with him. We are looking forward to going back and maybe taking little sister next time and who knows daddy might get brave and go with us!

District CHAMPS!

The Central Hardin Bruin Baseballl team beat Etown 9-4 to claim the district title for the first time since 1994. It was an interesting game because during the 5th inning the 3rd base side lights just went out! They tried to finish the game without them, but it just got to dark. So, we had a delay until they could get them back on. It was also very special for my family because my brother Taylor received a plaque for being named on the all tournament team. He definitely deserved it for a well played tournament offensively and defensively.

Bruin Baseball

Last night was the first game of the district tournament and Central played John Hardin. My brother Taylor, had a great game. He played a mean third base and laid down a sacrifice bunt down the first baseline to score a run. Central won 2-0 to advance to the finals tonight against Etown. Grandy kept the girls last night while Matt and I went to the game and boy did she have an eventful night. Reese ended up sick and very sick. The first thing she said when we walked in was she was glad she wasn't a single mom! So, today I am at home with Reese. She was sick all last night.

A Day at the Park!

Reese had her three year check up today and everything went very well, so afterwards we decided to have an afternoon to ourselves. We wanted to eat and play at McDonalds, but the playground at McDonalds was closed, so we had to eat and then head over to Funtopia, or as Reese calls it "FunTokyo"

Mother's Day 09

My two pride and joys!
My wonderful mom!
Look at that face!
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I have wanted to be a mom since I was little and Reese is already the same way. I will ask her what she wants to play and she always says, Mommy and Grandma. What a blessing being a mother really is! We started the day off at church and I happened to be the newsest mom in the crowd, so I had to go up front and play a little game. It wasn't bad and especially since they gave me an Ipod Shuffle! For lunch we went to my mom's and had a great grilled out lunch and then we came back here to have dinner with Matt's family. Matt had lots of help in the yard yesterday so we did get the front yard seeded again. The girls got me a Chaise Lounge to have on the side porch for when the swing set gets here, if it ever does! I can't wait to lay out there this summer with a book and sun while the girls are playing outside.

My t-shirt girls!

There is something awesome about a t-shirt and it is even better to see my girls in them. Most of you know that I am not a girly girl and I swore my girls never would be, but yes I gave in to the bows a long time ago! Here the girls are wearing t-shirts Grandy got them in Mexico City. Gran also got them t-shirts in Mrytle Beach and they just haven't had them on at the same time, so pictures will come of them in Mrytle Beach shirts. I am just so excited for the summer months so the girls can wear their t-shirts and diapers! Check out the leg rolls on Ramsey!

Run for the Roses

Friday Reese's babysitter, Ta-Ta had a Derby stick horse race. Reese's horse, "Lucky" won her some roses! For some reason, Friday night she decided to take off her clothes at the counter, so I told her this picture might come back to haunt her when she is older. Then, I had to feed Ramsey her baby food and it stains her clothes so bad that I like to feed her in her diaper. So, that is how they ended up in their diapers. Matt and I enjoyed spending time at Jessica and Lafe's house for the Derby. Our horses didn't do so well, but Matt ended up winning some money playing corn hole. We are looking forward to our typical Sunday. Church, nap and Grandy's for dinner.

I remember how nice it was to put Reese in the Exer-Saucer and it is even better for Ramsey because it gives her something to do besides her chair and the swing and allows me to play with Reese. She can even pull the little characters to make music. Reese got to enjoy her new bubble lawn mower outside this week along with several other new outside toys. Reese is also sporting her new Dora nightgown with a head band bow. She looks like she is in a pagenent or something! Maybe she can be on that show Toddler Tiarra's on TLC!!
