This Thanksgiving we really enjoyed spending time with family. Wednesday night we had Thanksgiving dinner with my side of the family and we also celebrated Ramsey's birthday! Thursday we had lunch with Matt's family. The girls had fun playing with their cousins as always and as you can tell they had fun dressing up! We also reinstated craft time after lunch and I was very pleased with my wreath made from old novel pages. I will have to post pictures later. The kids are finally getting to the age that allows us to be crafty!

Welcome to Ramsey's Sweet Shoppe!
Today we celebrated Ramsey's 3rd birthday with a candy buffet! She loves candy, but who doesn't! I had a great time planning this party, of course with the help of family and friends. The kids got to make candy bracelets, decorate their cupcake at the candy buffet and color all over the tables. Ramsey was just so excited to celebrate with her friends and family!

Zoo trip!
Last Monday when we were off, I decided to surprise the girls and take them to the zoo since we weren't able to go on fall break. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we just had a perfect day together. It was not crowded at all and I took them for ice cream afterward. I was always remember days like those. It is so neat to see them get excited about the animals.
Halloween
This year the girls were a firefighter and a dalmation. If you ask Reese what she wants to be when she grows up she says a firefighter and her class also visited the firestation. We went to my moms this year to trick-or-treat and then had a yummy meal. Really glad that all the grandparents got to see the girls being in one place. The girls also enjoyed Annie and Damien and Sharon coming to see them in their costumes!

She just amazes me!
Reese has really amazed me lately with what all she is learning to do! Reese can swing on her own now, she is reading a lot of words and can read most level one books with a little help, tying her own shoes (pretty good), can get in the car and buckle herself, brush her own teeth, play independently, draw some creative things, she prays some pretty thoughtful prayers (last week she said she hoped Jesus would lay His holy hand on all the sick people) and the thing that I am most proud of her is the way she treats Ramsey. She will always share whatever soccer snack she receives and plays with her very well around the house. I am so proud of her and very thankful to call her my daughter. We love you Reese!
Ramsey sings at church!
Ramsey had the opportunity to be a star at church this morning! Her Wednesday night WAM Jr. group sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, God has made you who you are!" At first, you can see she is a little nervous with her hands in her mouth and then she warmed up. By the end she noticed where I was and she came down saying in the microphone, "I need to tell you something!" They were so cute!

Grandmama Visit
Today we decided to go and visit Matt's 87 year old grandmama that lives in Madisonville. They treated us to a great home cookin' restaurant, Country Cupboard. Grandmama has 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, with twins on the way and 1 great-great grandchlild with one on the way. I just hope that I can get around as well as she does at her age. Her and her husband go dancing at least once a week. Truly an amazing woman! We enjoyed our visit.
Pumpkin Patch!
Jackson's Orchard
This year we steered away from our annual tradition of Huber Farms and ventured south to Jackson's Orchard in Bowling Green. It definitely wasn't the same, but I was pleased with what they had to offer for kids to do. As you can tell, Reese loved the big slide and Ramsey did not! The best part of Huber's is the restaurant, so we had to settle with Olive Garden. I did miss however our zoo trip on the same day, but we told the girls we are going to try the Halloween party at the zoo this year on an October weekend. Overall it was a great family trip!

Our Japenese Friend Visit
Recently a friend of the family visited the United States on her vacation. We got to know Kate when she was here as a foreign excahnge student with our Aunt Cheryl. We enjoyed our visit with Kate and the girls enjoyed their cookies she brought for them! We also enjoy when Mac comes to visit as well!

Happy 80th Birthday Nanny!
Last Sunday we celebrated my Nanny's 80th birthday by going to church with her in Hart County and then we took her out to eat and had cake at my house! It was so sweet that they sang Happy Birthday to her in church! This weekend we kept celebrating by having a tea at one of my moms friends tea room. I loved listening to stories and just relaxing with some wonderful women in my life. Nanny will always be special to me and she has always made me feel important throughout my life. I cherish every moment with her. I love you Nanny!

First Day of Kindergarten!

I am so thankful that Matt and my best friend Ashlee are at Reese's school and therefore not one tear was shed on the first day of school. I was actually excited for her to go and learn at school. I just hope and pray that she likes school as much as I did and still do. I did not get to go to school with her, but Ashlee was grateful enough to take GREAT pictures for me! I loved all them! She had a wonderful day and of course didn't have much to day other than that she had a good day! I just hope the rest is as exciting as the first two have been!
