Reds Game

We had a fun trip to Cincinnati this past weekend. We are going to try and take the girls every summer with my family to a Reds game. Mom, Reese and I went up a little early to shop at the outlet mall and I had a good time shopping with Reese for back to school clothes. Our seats were a little scary as you can tell because they were the first roll of the nose bleed section, so we were right in front of the glass wall. The girls of course wanted to try and climb it and attempted to throw things over. I will know next time where to not sit!! It was pretty hot as well, but the girls did a great job overall. It was a fun family day outing. I wish the Reds could have won though!

I don't want to forget this...

Last week Matt and I went to Louisville with some other couples and Matt's mom kept the girls while we went. That day, the girls had not had a nap and Ramsey was a little fussy after dinner. So, Grandy laid down with her and tried to get Ramsey asleep. Reese came along because she heard Ramsey crying a little and she told Ramsey she was going to tell her a story, a story about Pop. She told Ramsey, now I am going to tell you the top 5 reasons why I loved my Pop. First, she said, he loved you so much, second, he loved all his family (Nanny, Gran, Grampy, Taylor, Mom and Dad), third, he loved to come to our birthday parties, fourth, he loved to watch Taylor play baseball. Just before she was going to say the fifth thing, we rang the doorbell and she didn't get to tell her the fifth reason. We were so proud of Reese for trying to comfort Ramsey in such a sweet way. Reese prays for Pop every night in her prayers and often tells me that she misses him. It is still very hard for us all not to have our Pop around.

Swimming lessons

This week Reese has beent taking swimming lessons and she has LOVED it and done a GREAT job! Every day she is so excited to go to lessons and she has really picked up on the things she is learning. Ramsey has been so good to just sit with me and watch all week while Matt has been at little kids basketball camp.

Rough Week

This past week we had a rough couple of days. First, Ramsey busted her lip and pulled loose her front tooth because Reese fell back and hit her in the mouth. You can tell in these pictures where her lip is swollen. I hope that her tooth stays put or doesn't turn gray. The next night Aggie, our dog, ended up chewing on an ant bait trap that I had set out in the laundry room. The very same night Matt's wheel on his truck came off when he was driving home. So hopefully we have had our three in a row and we will have an uneventful rest of the summer.

4th of July

We had a busy weekend at a shrimp boil, a neighborhood party, a family cookout and a Sunday School social tonight. The girls got to go swimming and Reese got to hold her first sparkler. I didn't take my camera, but the girls had a blast playing with all their girl neighbors in the bounce house and on the slip and slide. We really enjoyed having our family over to our house for a cookout last night. All the cousins have such a good time together.
